Man i picked up a generic from Ebay for $40 and noticed a nice gain. After my TB and PL i have definitle power over 3k. I just didn't see the need to spend $250 on a CAI when i could spend it on suspension or other power adding items.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT

Now there is the whole "you get what you pay for" but i took a chance and this CAI was's any different then anything else i saw in the shops.
i agree i got one from ebay and its worked perfect, i changed the filter because the one it came with sucked but now it works nice and looks good for 40 bucks shipped

I have a jlt rai, I highly reccomend jlt products. I got mine very shortyly after ordering it, and you get can the tubing painted to match your car. I would reccomend the rai, because I've read about better gains. But only like 1-2hp, it's not that big of a difference. Basically it all depends on what you want to look at when you look under your hood.

a 40$ K&N filter then remove the air silencer, romove the air box and scar the plastic with a sharp knife, then use pliers and the plastic will break along the scard line. I just about cut my factory air box in half and I will almost bet money it makes within 1hp of any CAI.

im not the biggest fan of ram air, its only maybe 1-2hp difference and theres always danger of suckin somethin

into your engine

just get a CAI
how can it suck something into your engine when theres a filter on one end and the other end is covering the throttle body...

i have a buddy with a 50 who had the ram air undernieth the front bumper and it was raining real hard and he went through a puddle and blew his engine. so i do NOT recommend those intakes. i like the bbk fenderwell, but it is a pain in the a$$ to install.
