Default warranty.

i got a warranty on my new 06 gt, but i want to put offroad x-pipe and longtube headers on it. does anyone know if this will effect warranty or what i can do about this? thanks

well make friends with in the ford dealer and never worry about it. i had warranty even with n20 lol. what they dont know wont hurt them.

It all depends on who you know. If the wrong person gets a look at that exhaust, say bye bye to the warranty for sure.

My friends 02 gt had new a x-pipe on his and the warranty was gone right when ford saw the new x-pipe. But like they said it all about who you know.

They have to PROVE that the install or part itself caused the problem. If you put longtubes on and a wheel bearing goes out, they HAVE to honor your warranty b/c you had no effect on the part. BUT, I would leave the manifolds alone. If you lose an engine, they could claim that the Longtubes changed the a/f ratio enough to hurt the motor.

very true

the LAW says they havta honor you, FORD says no

its happened to 2 of my buddys now and it sux

what are you goin to do? sue ford?

mine is still underwarrenty and i havnt had a problem yet, but if i were you i would
do parts that are hard to notice

Best thing you can do, is ask the service manager. Make him aware you know that the part has to cause the failure and he won't fool around and most likely won't give you a hard time.
