I just can't wait til my lm2's get here Wed!!!! It's probably all mostly from your o/r midpipe just my guess from my experiences. im sorry your dissapointed but when i had my firebird I replaced the cat with a cutout. and it popped all the time even with the stock muffler on there.(when i had the cutout closed). with the cutout open then it was just plain loud haha.

100% correct. I have stock manifolds, catless X, and SLP LM1's... Its the worst sound i have ever heard in my life. I was told to switch TO a H. Because it will deepen it out. This comming from an exhaust only website. It was.... DITCH THE X, and go to a H. X's are raspy we ALL know this. My car sounds like it will blow up if i do not push the clutch in and let it idle back down. When im at like 4k when im racing and i win. I let off and god damn put some ear plugs in because all hell breaks loose. And not in a good way either. The popping DOES NOT stop either. When im going through the gears.... sounds nice anytihng below 2k. I hit 2 and RASP, 3k deepens out again, 3500 RASPY again..... all the way up to 6k. I tell everyone not to go with SLP unless you race and need to find every piece of horsepower left to find, because truth be told i gained an assload of horsepower and torque just from the SLP lm1's. I am putting my flow's back on and im not spending ANY MORE money on exhuats because no matter what people tell me.... i dont like it. Dont like Mac, Flows, SLP, dynomax. Im not spending 500 a whack on exhaust. I would like to try Bassani, Magnapacks, and Borla.... But like i said. I could have bought a S/C with the money i have put into exhaust......

I've got LT,pro chamber and LM2. I've never heard popping on the downshift. I havn't heard any popping at all in any condition. It's diffinately a unique sound. I've had nothing but compliments. The only thing I don't like is it's somewhat quiet at a stop.
It sounds to me LT kill the popping.

i think motorycycles=a bit of rasp

i get a LOUD sound that isnt like at idle, but it isnt a ping ping ping making everyone duck fro cover thinking it is gunshots

on decel though from say 4K-2K i do get popping
