trans swap 99 GT
I have a 99 GT 5-speed currently in storage. Due to health issues I can no longer drive a standard. I don't really want to sell it as it is pristine with only 14K miles. My question is how feasible it would be to swap the 5-sp for the automatic? (assuming I can locate a shop to take on such a project) Any advice appreciated....

You're really better off to sell it & buy an auto GT. If you're paying a shop to do all the work it's gonna be pretty expensive. And even the engine computer needs to be switched, same goes for the console, etc..
Sell your car for as much as it deserves, if it's nice & clean with super low miles you should be able to get a good $ for it. It's spring now too, so is the best time to sell a performance car.

If you are dead-set on keeping that car.. maybe you can find a person with an auto on this site or another that wants a 5-speed. If its the same year car, the swap wouldnt be too confusing at all. Hope you feel better!
