I am also interested in this!

I'm not sure, do the Cobra guages have the numbers in the same places?

I know the redline is higher on the Cobra, but what about the Speedometer?

Maybe 99-01 Whitefaces would be better.....

^^^^ I am not sure, but I would think that they will work. I got the silver reverse glow gauges from Mustangtunning and really like them.

In reply to these. I have a 99 Cobra cluster in my 04 GT right now. It works, I ran into a few snags though...

-Mid-01 they moved the rear defroster button to the center console from up near the instrument cluster... for some unknown reason, the switching mechanism for it used to run through the speedometer cluster, so your rear defroster will ALWAYS be on (Remedy: Remove fuse for rear defrost from inside the engine bay fuse box)
-Sub problem for this, whenever I push the rear defroster button now, it blows the fuse for the a/c clutch

-The redline IS higher, but it does not do anything to your rev limiter etc... You just can't rely on it and need to set a metal red-line (5500 RPM or so is what I go with, for safety)

-The speedometer is also higher, but the signal for speed, when it gets to the speedometer cluster is digital, so speed willl be accurate on any cluster swap... a 99 V6 (120 mph speedo) with a 99 Saleen's (might be steeda, I just woke up ) 200 mph speedo will still read right.

-If you buy a used cluster, you will need to go to the Ford dealership, sit outside and do the swap, then go iniside the service dept and tell them you need your keys reprogrammed... You will need to bring two keys and two keyfobs. The PATS information is stored in the speedometer cluster and when you do the swap it will think your keys are not correct so it will just crank but not start.

-If you buy a used cluster, your mileage will no longer be correct... your local Ford dealership can not change the mileage on the cluster (either up or down)... Record the old mileage with a picture just before you swap it, and they will record it and as long as you report the corrected mileage when you sell the car, you won't be breaking any laws.
