Default Cherry Picker, Dumb ?

Okay guys here we go, this may sound dumb but I have never lifted an engine out before. I am borrowing my neigbors cherry picker to lift the motor out of the car, or at least tile it a bit to install the new LT headers I am getting. I have heard everone say that you should drop the k member, then loosen the motor mounts and tilt the engine a bit. I know I will also have to unbolt the tranny bracket that holds the tranny up in order to tilt the motor without unbolting the tranny. I am wondering if I drop the k member will the engine still be supported by the motor mounts, or will it fall? Also, when I use the cherry picker, where do I bolt the cerry picker to to lift the motor? And, should I secure the cherry picker first before loosing the motor mounts, or if I loosen the motor mounts will it still stay in place? I don;t think it will stay in place without the k member and motor mounts. Please remember before posting that I have never done this before, I do have some experienced help, but this is a learning experience for me. I know it is going to be hard, and take a LONG time, but I can;t wait to get the satisfaction afterwards of doing it myself. Please give any advice you can, I don;t want to tackle this blindfolded and clueless. Thanks again guys!
