Default lowering a 03 gt convert.

Does anyone recommend what kit is the best and also how difficult they are in install? I'm looking at lowering the car about 1" and it will be just for looks. Thanks

Greg

I just lowered my 99 Cobra and used Eibach springs.. They look great..

The over install was a mother %*$(%... The fronts were not that bad but the backs were a nightmare.. However, I have IRS on my Cobra and I don't think you do.. If you don't it should not be that hard at all.. Do a google search and poke around on the web.. I found at least 3 sites that gave photos and step by step instructions on how to do it.. Over all if you have a good stocket set and basic tools I know you can do it..

Here is just one of the sites I used to help me and I know I found at least 2 others too:

Click on 'The Cobra' below my sig and you can see the before and after photos.. I lowered mine 1 1/2"

Eibach has springs specific to our car. Mine was lowered by about 1.3 or so with the Pro kit. I also put in Tokico shocks and struts so I'm not sure what JUST the springs would do with the stock shocks/struts.

All I do know is...the ride is great...not too agressive YET FIRM for ripping it up now and again.

It really depends on what your application is.

The install isn't that difficult...I think there is a sticky somewhere on here. Just need some spring compressors to make it a bit easier as well as some drive up lifts or a jack.

I used the eibach pro-kit on my 99 vert, lowered it just about an inch, which at the time I didn't think was very much until I parked it right next to a friends 2000 vert (same exact color and everything), and it was a real nice noticable difference. Ride is definitely firmer, but on a smooth road around corners handling is much flatter and better. Installation: I had my brother-in-law help me (he had done springs on his stang before), and he had a spring compressor and it still took most of the afternoon for front and back.
