Default Plugs and Wires???

Alright guys, gonna take my car out of storage in about a week. I got a Ford Racing Serpentine Belt, and I'm gonna go ahead and change out the plugs and wires. Anyone have any preferences on what to get???

get the OEM motorcraft plugs, with your mods you shouldn't need any more. I run motorcraft plugs in my car and it runs fine. I think my wires are toast tho, and I'm not sure what ones to get. I'm thinking maybe a quality MSD set will be good.

Does your car have the coil packs or the coil on plug setup?

I have MSD 8.5 Super Conductors. Either from Auto-Zone or summit for about $100.00 and I am running Bosch +4. I also have the msd blaster coil packs though

On a 2000 GT, you will have a hard time finding spark plug wires...........................

Because you don't have any.

that's what I thought. So just a set of quality plugs should do you nicely.

For guys like me with the old school 4.6 we get to mess with wires. But they are easier, I know there is one coil pack that is a pain to get out.

HAHAHAHA!!! No wonder I couldn't find those sob's. My dad and I looked for a good 20 min one day. So what do they have in place of those? Not too good with the newer cars. Why can't everything be like the muscle cars???? Thanks man. Hit me back on what's goin on and how they don't use plug wires.

well, there is an ignition coil with a boot over each spark plug, and the wires go to the ECU and that tells them when to spark, it's to save cost and stuff and makes it more of a quality spark at the plug

Alright thanks man. So basically there is nothing that I can do as far as increased spark besides plugs? The reason I want to know is. As I replace things I want to replace em with performance parts. Kinda kill two birds with one stone. So as far as I'm putting bosch 4 plugs in it, is there anything else I can do to get a little more performance out of it? And, a full exhaust, 4.10, and CAI are for sure on the list for summer hopefully more as I work. So, basically is there anything else I can do? I have about 250 saved for putting some stuff into it in about a week after it comes out of storage. Now that there's no plug wires and just plugs I have about 150 extra. (God, I feel like a dumbass about those plug wires) Thanks.
