fully built maverick or 04 stang???

fully built maverick or 04 stang???
ok, i have an 04 gt and i was going to go n/a. tonight my uncles friend decides he wants to sell his '72 maverick for 3000. The maverick has a fully built 302 (trickflow heads, racing cam, pistons.....etc). my buddy has an 02 t/a and the maverick and t/a raced one night and the maverick started to pull on him at about 60mph. The trans am has slp lid, headers and full exhaust. I thought the t/a would of spanked him, but i saw the race with my own eyes. So my question is should i just build my 04 gt, or buy the maverick???? I know its off topic, but this is the only part of the forum i go to.. i dont know any others in other sections

the car ran a 12.8@110 i believe. i know it was 12.8, but not sure about the speed. the car sounds soooo amazing. Im leaning towards the maverick. Before they raced i was like no way the maverick would win, that trans am is insane. If i werent in the passenger seat of the T/A and watched the maverick pull away i would never believe it.

yea the mustang is my daily driver. my original plan was full boltons, but I think this car is a good deal. I might keep the stang the way it is and use the maverick as like a track car
