Here is a dumb question; If you have found a car like that, but it has been totally rebuilt, i.e. everything restructed to factory or better etc, Wouldnt it still be worth it? I mean, It wont be worth as much, but isnt it still a good deal?

I bought a 2000 GT /w 45k miles for $7200 on a rebuilt title..I guess you could say I got reamed but I don't plan on selling this car. I also had it checked by 2 mechanics there is no major damage. Only things I noticed on the body were the gaps along the fender and door on the passenger side don't line up perfectly and the rocker panels don't line up perfectly either. Only thing is, this car was totaled at 600 miles so it must have been some extensive damage for it to be totaled almost brand new. When it breaks down in the future, I'll probably get another daily driver and rebuild it into a weekend monster. In the back of my mind, I kind of regret getting it but then when I take it for a little drive that bit of regret fades away fast
P.S. is it possible to get the gaps fixed between fenders and other body panels? if so how much would it cost?

3 Auction sales? The car has been wrecked, even if carfax doesn't report it.
The only reason why a sports car makes it's way to an auction, it's been in a wreck or had severe mechanical damage at some point. When dealerships take a sports car in trade, that's in decent shape, they will either sell it on their lot, or wholesale it to a used car lot locally.
