Slight Miss Below 2000 RPM
My '02 GT 5spd (70k miles) seems to be developing a slight hesitation or miss when below 2000 rpm and moderate throttle.
I can describe it as kind of a hiccup when accelerating below 2k.
It does it a little more often when just started, but continues until the coolant temp guage reads fully warmed up.
It doesn't seem like it should be that cold blooded, I mean it's bone stock....
Help me out guys! What could it be?
plugs, fuel filter, iac, something else?
Thanks
Vince

RE: Slight Miss Below 2000 RPM
Ok, I just checked my IAC because I was going to try cleaning it out since it's free and.......
Isn't there supposed to be a spring in it? Or is it just open and the spring compressed? I pulled it off the plenum, turned it around and shined a flashlight in there and there is no spring!
Also, I thought the IAC was only supposed to work when the throttle is closed, my problem happens when I am at moderate throttle....
HELP!

70,000 miles... wouldnt hurt to do a tune up anyway even if the car still missed after u did a tune up.
Spark Plugs
Fuel Filter
Clean/Replace Air Filter
Clean IAC which you already did...
Rotate tires unless you have huge tires in the back.
Change oil and oil filter.
SEA FOAM !!!
