car throttle acting weird and car dying?

car throttle acting weird and car dying?
well... recently when i would step on the gas, a good percentage of the time the throttle will get stuck and i have to cut the motor... also.. when i was on the way home today driving... the car just died while i was driving... under throttle.... what could be the problem?
