Need to replace a fog lamp
I would like to get some halogen, possibly Silver Stars from Sylvania to replace the stock fog lamps as one has bunred out and appears to maybe have a cracked housing. I'm going to guy buy some Jack stands to check it out tomorrow w/ a friend.
Where is a good place to pick these up and what model# should I look for on a 1998 GT? THanks.

RE: Need to replace a fog lamp
I know the Foglights are 3156's and headlights are 9007. I had some Silver star headlights but then one burned out and now imn running a blue tint headlight for 23.99 a piece. They not only look great, but also shine so much better. I got 2 blue fog light bulbs from
an online Mustang catalog. I cant find them in the stores, only stock replacement. Mine is a 98 Gt also

RE: Need to replace a fog lamp
I got 899 as Sylvania's part #..... dunno what that's all about. Apparently there's some water in the housing (not much at all) So I'm going to replace it w/ a stock bulb to see if I need a new housing. Either way I will end up replacing it w/ some type of halogen bulb. If you could recall that catalog that would be awesome.
Thanks,
Sam

RE: Need to replace a fog lamp
Sacramento Mustang. Its an online parts catalog. The Fog lights are 899 and head lights are 9007. If you do have condensation in youre headlight bucket dont put a new bulb in without replacing the headlight. Because you have a small hole allowing water to get into the bucket. And putting in new bulbs wont help, they will keep burning out.

if you have water in your fog light housing just drill a small hole in the bottom of the housing to give the moisture somewhere to drain. i had the same problem on my 2000.
