hey, i just filled up my car w/gas today all of a sudden gas was puring out all over the ground. i looked behinde the rear wheel and seen gas leaking out of the seem of the tank(is this a common problem or a fluke). does anyone know how much i should be paying for a new one to be put in?by the way since i've owned this car i have never got more than 240miles a tankfull is this wright or should i be getting more like 300 miles?

GAs would not just come flying out of your tank all of the sudden. You most likely overfilled it. THis has happened to me before. Or, it may be the gasket that is behind the fill nozzle where the hose that goes to the gas tank is. My brother had this problem on his mustang, but the only time it would leak is if you filled it ALL the way up to where you could see gas if you pushed your finger on the little one way hinge on the the gas fill nozzle. I am asuming that you just overfilled it, but if it keeps happening go get a new gasket at the Ford dealership. It is very easy to put on and if you need help I am sure I can get you a pic of what you need to replace.
