Default Rediculous grinding...

I have a rediculous grinding noise coming from the rear end of my car around corners at low speeds. even more noticble when turning very slowly to park, or just turning around or whatever.

Also, coming off exit ramps with the car in gear but just coasting around the ramp corners, it grinds, shudders and just makes all kinds of noise. If i accelerate in the middle of it though the grinding it stops. I can feel it all the way up through the transmission.

The car also doesn't roll right. In neutral it rolls to a stop like I very lightly applied the brake. It doesnt roll at all on small inclines.

However in straight lines its perfectly fine (grinding wise). Still leaves a nice posi burn out too. The cars got 61k miles on it, and now I know it was wrecked once before I got it. Im assuming most of the miles are hard miles, I know I've put a few on.

At first I was thinking it was a control arm issue, but sounds like it could be a LSD issue too. Ive been looking for an excuse to crack it open and get gears installed (4.10s), think this is a good reason? I just don't want to open an expensive can of worms...know what i mean...

I have the same issue with my 04. I heard from a guy that works at ford that the new rear ends have that issue that replacing the gear oil in the rear end with a better posi additive would somewhat help. I would personally spend the cash and change the gears if the money is there.

yeah id change the diff fluid, or get some new gears+new bearing kit installed for about 500$ or so total with parts/labor.
