cobra brake kit for mustang

RE: cobra brake kit for mustang
Definitely get the kit. I thought I could save a couple bucks by piecing it together. After shipping and finding banjo bolts for the mach-1 calipers I ended up paying a little more than the mustangtuning kit.
Looks great and stops better. I would do it again.

Your factory brakes stop well enough below like 75 MPH, they are capable of locking up the wheels... with the new ones, I've been able to trigger the ABS at 105+... the pedal feels different, I need to look in to see if the Cobras have a different proportioning valve, but as it stands now, there's no denying there's an increase in stopping power.

I did the swap on the front, and I'll tell you, they stop awesome now... Just make sure the bleed screw is at the top before you start reconnecting things... <-- Dumbass move..
Hey Shadowdrake, I'm assuming you also got the brake lines too.. Do you know if they are both 3/16ths, or if one is 3/16ths and the other is 1/4in?? I tried the lines they gave me, and they're not right, so I had to reuse the stock lines.. Also, mine bled fine, and they feel a lot better.. I remember you saying you may need to rebleed them.. Any luck??
I'm doing the rears next Friday.. I should have gotten the slotted rotors, instead of the Brembo dir. veined... Next time though...
