The junk yard. 93 and newer XLT rangers had an 8.8 w/ 3.73 gears. The towing package rangers had 4.10's. You cannot use the axle because the center "pig" is offset to one side.

just go to a shop and have them get everything for you and let them install it. Gears aren't extremely hard to do but a shop will make sure its perfect, and if there is any gear whine you can take it back and have them fix it.

I believe RPMoutlet includes the install kit as i am looking at the 4.10 and tuner lso but am getting mixed reviews on Motive gears as even Ford sells motive nade gears! mark
