Default UPR CABLE? gotta break it in?

I have a UPR clutch cable, quadrant and firewall adjuster. It seems to me when the car is cold the pedal feels stiff and doesn't release as quickly as it should, but as the car warms it gets smoother and smoother until it's perfect. This did not happen when I had the stock cable and stuff in. I am thinking because it is a new cable, the clearance between the cable and the housing of the cable is so tight it gets effected by temperature. Anyone have similar experience let me know
