hi im confused on how tuners work, ive heard alot about the xcal 2 and am thinking about gettin it, thing is tho im not really sure how they work, say i hav 2 cars a v6 and a v8, can i jus hook it up to 1 and it tunes it and then turn around and tune the other or wut? any info would really help!!

i'm not sure wt\ith the unit that you are talking about ,but i have a diablo tuner and that holds one tune for one car. it swapsout the factory program saves it and loads the custom tune, however you can still adjust your timing adjust shift points recalabrate for gear changes &pull codes if a problem pops up.you won't be able to use your tuners custom tune on two cars at once , also i'm not sure if you can use the tuner for v-6 & v-8 you may need to use different tuners for each(not sure about that) .

well thats the tuner i was talking about but still dont really understand how to work it or anything

you cannot use it on more than one car. thats how they make their money. if you couldn everybody would lend it out to their freiend friends

The same XCal 2 hand held tuner will work for both the V6 and the V8, but you can't use it simultaneously on both vehicles at the same time.
