depends on how much experience you have with working on cars. it could take 2-3 hours, or it could take you 5-6. buy a haynes repair manual so you can get the torque specifications when putting it back together. also have a machine shop resurface the flywheel (about $25).

Yeah man, do it yourself. I did mine on my 96, it only took me about 4 hours give or take. All I had were 2 jack stands and a floor jack.
The only problem I had in doing it were the bolts on the exhaust where it connects the mid pipe to the manifold.
I know some other guys have had some trouble with those bolts too. But over all its worth the money saved!
