throttle possition sensor problems!!
i posted in gen. tech but no reply yet.
i just swapped to a accufab tb and plennum combo. i have read all the instructions for the adjustments for the tps but still can't get the correct voltage. anyone have experience with this adjustment. idles fine, just sluggish on throttle from 800 to 1200 rpm. new multimeter and still no luck.
thanks

did you change the tps? you shouldnt have a change in voltage really if its the same one... unless the throttle isnt opening or closing all the way... maybe you have some sort of big air leak or loose connection?
when I installed my TB/plenum combo I spent many moons trying to figure out the vacuum leak I was experiancing and I may have just fixed it today by replacing the gasket between the plenum and intake. I haven't done a complete test yet but the car passed its preliminary check. Its just something to look at if the TPS isn't the problem.
It probably isnt this TPS. You shouldnt have had to change it at all.
I am also experiencing a leak somewhere (hissing sound when at around 2500-3000 RPMs). Could this just be the sound the accufab makes? Or is it definately a leak?

during insallation of the tb and plennum combo, i had to change the tps. this is in the instructions. it also says that you have to adjust until the voltage is .98 to 1.v to work properly. the check engine light came on after the install and i check the diagnostics and got p0122-tps low input. i need to adjust the voltage on the sensor to .98 to 1 but i get irratic readings everytime.
