Worth the self install??

RE: Worth the self install??
I read the write up as well, and I can't truly judge the procedure, but removing a K-member scares me, without proper equipment I thing it would be difficult to get things exactly as they were before. (I wouldn't want to risk having the front end not square and centered to the rear.
You could however drill 1/4" holes through the "K" into the frame before unbolting and use dowel pins during assembly to properly re-align the front end back into position. Two drilled holes with pins would work, 4 would make it bullet proof, no chance at all for misalignment. Can't help it, I'm an old fashioned Tool and Die maker, precision is me!

RE: Worth the self install??
i replaced my clutch this weekend.. the starter only took me about 20 minutes to get out.. 10 minutes on the top start bolt.. just use a mini socket wrench (4-6 inch) the 11mil socket (i think it was) feel around for it, and do it a couple clicks at a time (bout 10 minutes)
it's getting it back in thats a pain in the ***, cus the **** doesnt click :P gotta bend ur fingers and tighten it by hand for awhile, which reallllllly cramps and hurts
the thought of dropping the k-member and supporting the engine scares me..
