RE: how to tell if a pi swap has been done
I just bought a whole new engine with the heads and intake on it already. I am not really sure what it would cost just to swap. I know the heads are close to 2k for both. My engine cost about 2200 plus labor, about 3K all together. You can check out the egine at ebaymotors. It is from the enginesdirect online store.

Well I'm not sure about all pi intakes but mine only had one temp sensor bung on it, I had to relocate the other one. The npi intake has 2 temp sensor bungs. 1 for the sensor and one for the gauge sender.

This is a good question that I have asked and not gotten response for either. I know my car has an aluminum crossover but I don't know if that is because the dude who had my car prior to me had warranty work done or not. I do know that I have been able to hang with 99+ cars. Sooo.... Not sure if it has been done to my car or not.

Well there is a casting on the side of the heads that say pi on them but you probably won't be able to see it. There is also a different valve cover pattern on the pi then the npi so you could tell from that as well. You would just have to figure out which is which.
