Hi,
I am in the middle of a full PI replacement on my 98 gt and I have a quick question. I know the PI intake is deeper than the original and you need to use a heater hose from a 99+ stang, how are people connecting the hose? The nipple off the water pump is a smaller size, I was thinking of getting some heater hose of the original size and just doing it myself instead of using the newer hose, any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

 

you need to go buy the nipple made for 99 up vehicles. to get the old one out remove the water pump then tap the old nipple out through were the water pump was then install the new niple the new nipple should have two o-rings your 99+ heater hose should snap on to that nipple. it not like the pre-99 where you have a rubber hose to clamp too. hope this help i have a pic of what my center look like here.

 

ok so i got two pic of the nipples the black short one with 2 orange o-rings is the 99-up nipple and the gray long one is the one you have
