Default short throw shifter problems

I installed a Hurst short throw shifter in my 2000 GT, it still has the stock shifter arm on it until mine comes in. It feels perfect during normal driving, but when i decide to nail it, it gives me trouble in third gear, its like everytime i shift quickly into third it acts as if the car is in neutral but the shifter is actually positioned in third, but when i baby it into third it works perfect, i just started noticing this after the shifter install, but with the stock shifter i never really slammed it into third, i dont know if i have a loose shifter arm or what, does anyone have any ideas what this may be??

Sounds about like after I broke my 3-4 shift fork in my transmission. Went in 3rd but was like it was in neutral.

Before you worry about it though. Double check the bolts and stuff. Throw your stock shifter back on there and see how it is. Possibly you got the wrong shifter?

I took it off and put it back in, it little better now but still doing the same thing only in 3rd gear though, but my shifter arm bolt keeps getting loose, so im wondering if thats the problem, if the short throw shifter was made for a 3650 tranny would it even fit a T-45??
