Default Boost a pump?

how do i know if i need a boost a pump? and how do they work? I have read that they merely act as a voltage reguator. how does that help my fuel system. i have vortech v2, svt focus pump, 42lb injectors, thanks.

well since you already have a aftermarket pump you really dont need the boost a pump. peaple usually put it on their stock pumps soo it can keep up with all the air that is coming it. iono how it works but it makes the stock pump work more efficiently. if you start goin lean because your fuel pump cant keep up with the incoming air, thats when you need a bigger pump or boostapump

I don't know about "Boost A Pump," but I know lots of people, in the past, have wired up Capacitors, and run MUCH larger wire back to their fuel pump, so that during a run, you get MAXIMUM efficiency, and there won't be any power drops/surges at the pump, so you have a more consistent fuel pump voltage...

I think that's what the "Boost A Pump," does... Not sure though...
