Default Calling anyone with a fenderwell intake(roush)

I tried to clean my roush fender well intake but the ****ing filter is to big to fit through the stock hole and pull it out by the motor and i cant clean the thing. Do i need to take off a wheel and drop the filter head down that way???????

I just cleaned mine with the K&N cleaning kit. It will fit. Try to get the rubber ring (large end of filter) out on one side top or bottom and give force. The fender wall will push into the mesh part of the filter and will expose the rest of the large end of your filter then remove. You will end up damaging the filter a little bit but not bad enough to replace. I know i make it sound hard and confusing but it was worth a try =) good luck

And this is the reason why I hate fenderwell CAIs.

It really isn't that hard to remove it from the bottom and better than tearing up your filter, good luck.
