TUNER & 4.10's=NO GAIN what to expect?
Ok I have a '99 drop top so it's a bit heavier than hardtops. Using a G-tech type timer to just see what effect changes are having. Not a track car, just want to enhance the driving experience. I bought nthe RPMOUTLET tuner and gear combo. I honestly "felt" the effects of the tuner and having an automatic shifts were enhanced considerably. I raised the shift point from 1-2 to 5800rpm's and have the 2-3 at 5500. Where does the car run best, with traction control off or on or no difference?
I am still on the stock exhaust but have a PYPES catted x pipe and catback yet to be installed. Since I am only interested in bolt ons all that is left is UDP's(5HP) and a TB/plenum(7HP). S/C is not an option. Is there something I am missing? I am not doing headers due to the high cost and extensive installation. Hardly worth $850. for them. I have a BBK CAI.
I had been hoping for a 13.5 sec car but what should I expect with the mods listed? Thanks In advance for opinions and what you have reached, Mark
