"power band"
What RPM range is the "power band" on a stock 03 GT 5 spd.? It's only got a K&N drop in air filter.
I can't find the dyno numbers for a stock one anywhere.
It feels pretty wimpy before 2,700 and starts to die off after 4,700. Does this sound right?
I think my car might suck.
Thanks

Actually 4700 rpm is right about where peak hp will come in on your car, but it still says relatively flat all the way to 5800 rpm. When racing the best 1/4 mile times are achieved redlining 1st and 2nd gear, and shifting from 3rd to 4th at about 5800. Hehe your car doesn't suck, its got lotsa potential. The fact that its peaking at 4700 and staying relatively level for another 1k+ rpm shows you that its not the engine internals holding the car back, its getting the air in and out thats the problem. Upgrading exhaust and the stuff in front of the intake (like a cai, mass air meter, plenum, and throttle body (in order of most effective to least effective) will really wake the car up and having it pull hard all the way to redline.
