Default Breaking in Gears

My 4.10's are going in as we speak. What should I do to break in the gears?

mech told me to do some heat cycles... others will tell you different stories.. but better to be safe than sorry..

what i did last night when i got my springs installed... drove gently for 15 mins... let it sit for 30 mins then drove again for 100 miles without banging the gears... rest another 30 mins... and then finally tested out the gears :P

The gears need a couple short heat cycles.

If anyone tells you anything different, find the nearest sharp object and promptly jam it into their eye socket, twist, remove and jam it in the other eye socket.

Drive the car NORMAL. Follow the speed limits, accellerate with a light foot. Drive like this for 10-15 minutes. Park somewhere, allow for a 15-20 minute cool down. Repeat 2 more times, let the car cool down one last time and then go beat the living snot out of that thing!!!!!
