The car is a "Cobra look alike", it was bought this way, found it at the dealership with just 12k miles on it... had never even been driven in the rain, it has the emblems, front/rear bumber covers, ground effects, etc. The only way to tell from the outside it is not a Cobra is the hood, originally it had the stock GT hood with the wannabe ram air thingy double sided taped and screwed into the hood with that fake plastic thing in the middle! That however flew off goin 145mph... good quallity ford part huh? Originally i planned to replace it with a 00-01 cobra hood, but i have decided to go with a cowl instead. I never would have gone that far with the cobra look alike, generally i dont like my car to look like something it's not... but i like it so i will continue with the plan on the interior(gauges, seats, steering wheel, etc.) I don't like the wheels so i plan to change them to 18" black 03-04 Cobra wheels... it still wont be a cobra... but with a procharger on it who cares right??

Just for an up-date I called 2 seperate Ford dealers here in Vegas and got the same answer.. the Mileage is saved in the cluster itslef, the cluster has its own seprate computer, the mileage is NOT stored in the ECM!
And as for why I need a new cluster... well I will be up-grading to a Cobra cluster eventually, however the reason for my swapping cluster's now is of maximum security info. of which i am not at liberty to say! ....take that as u will! =)

ORIGINAL: Cornbread01

yea you might have to reflash the comp becuz the anti theft device
no no no all you have to do is switch out the backing on the guages. i did this with a bullitt gauge cluster and it works badass. took me like 30 mins and most of that was spent trying to figure out the headlight ****
