HUH???? Are you crazy? The 5.0 will smoke a 96-98 4.6 unless you have a bunch of bolt-ons or the other guy driving is a moron. If one were to get te same bolt-on's for the 5.0 as they did for the 4.6 guess which one would have more hp? Think about it, a 5.0 vs. 4.6 the power is sooooooo much easier to make with the 5.0 than a 4.6. And I am not talking rated hp, that dont meen crap, I am talking REAL HP.

Look, obviously its up to you in the end. If it were me and I could buy my car all over again, I wouldnt do it. I would wait for a 5.0 or find the body style I like with the motor I want. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED IF YOU BUY A STOCK 96-98 GT!! Especially if you dont have any money to build it up. They sound fast but thats all.
