RE: mods
PI swap is swapping the cylinder heads on a '96-'98 for the performance improved(PI) heads on the newer model '99-'04 engines. The heads on the early 4.6 engines were fairly restrictive from the factory. In 99 Ford reworked them so they flow much better and named them PI heads.
I dont know what all is needed for the swap, just that a lot of people on here have posted about it and were very pleased with the results.

The pi swap is changing your head and intake manifold to the performance improved used on the 99-04 gt, 01+ Vic, and other v8 ford products. I'm not sure if you can find good write ups about it here but tccoa.com has a lot of info of this. If you do the pi swap be sure to get a manifold with the aluminum coolant crossover as well. You should also try doing a search on it.

Read this for a bunch of ideas: https://mustangforums.com/m_1091651/tm.htm
You could get under drive pulleys and an aluminum driveshaft. If you do the Pi Swap you shouldn't supercharge it w/o a special gasket or better yet get forged internals. Not much to make it scream w/o your heads being worked over really well and supercharged. Nitrous you can not have running all the time, but that would work.

RE: mods
what would add more power and be cheaper taking what heads you have already and getting them p and p or buying PI and doing the swap, i mean wouldnt be cheaper just to take the heads you have and have them worked?
