Hey just looking for some advise. right now i have 275 eagle f1's all around but they dont seem to hook worth a ****. i need something that will hold the pavement. Also i was wondering how wide i can go the rins are not stock they are cobra R rims. Any suggestions or comments about what you have and how it works would be great.

You'll need wider rubber in the rear... at least 295 width... so you'll need wider wheels.

I am using BFG g-Force KDW tires... for street tires, they hook up pretty well... SOOOOO much better than the stock tires. I had intent on spinning them in first once (just on a launch on the street) so I let the clutch out hard at around 4000 RPM and I was VERY surprised that they didn't just spin off like the factory ones do, even in second gear... I was off on my way from a launch that hard.

If you want REAL traction (but poor treadlife) get some drag radials... I hear the BFG ones are good for traction, but very poor on life... while the Nitto 555R's are decent on traction, but good on life.

I've got 18x10 in the rear... and a 295 tire... doesn't bulge, it's a perfect fit. I'm sure you can fit a 315 on there, as JonBeast I think has a 315 tire on a 9" wheel... yikes.

Go like 245-265 up front, wider isn't necessarily better there... (265 will be as perfect of a fit on a 9" wide wheel as a 295 is to 10"), and go 295-315 in the rear.

Edit: Also, drag radials are street legal, but their biggest downside is low low treadlife compared to a street tire. The Nitto 555r SAYS 15k miles, but they have to be looking pretty thin by then... you can expect much less out of a BFG drag radial.

yeah im not really concerned about tred life so much as traction i was looking into some mickie thompson drag radials. and i was thinking like 315 in the back but i like the 275 in the fron it works well.

ok man...idk what you do or how you are...but you have a KB'd GT and i understand that you're just asking for our opinions...but i think you should be just a LITTLE more knowledgable about tires and your car if you dropped that kind of cash on a supercharger...unless they were replicas the Cobra R rims are 17x9...295s on a 9" rim are pushin it...315 are crazy and unsafe...you need a 17x10 or bigger for 315 to be a safe fit...if it is for track use go for the MTs...my buddy has a KB'd 2000 GT and he has 295 BFG DRs on saleen replica 18x10s...265 BFG KDs on 18x9s in front...his car is a strictly street car and he has about 12k miles on the DRs and they look almost new...he rarely does burnouts or drives hard so i think the whole car is pretty much a waste...its never seen a track and it is fully gutted...and his parents paid for the car and the mods so it kinda pisses me off but the car is awesome...if you have a 10" wide rim in back you need at LEAST 275-285

I have 10.5 in the back with 275 and they work great and I just kept my 245 tires on my front tires.

A 315 is suppose to fit on a 10.5 to 12.5 wheel. Tire makers do not recommend anthing smaller than a 10-1/2

Look at my sig for my tires. They fit perfect and hook up pretty good. I get really good all around tracion. I like to autocross more than dragging but I still take it to the 1/4 once in a while....it is a stang
