Default Spark Plug Suggestions?

I am running a stock setup on my 99GT and was looking at upgrading my plugs. Any suggestions? Brand/name/stock# would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've done a lot of research on here in the past couple of days for this. People are going to tell you NGK TR55's (I think that is the model number), or OEM Motorcrafts. Many will say that you don't need NGK's since you are stock...some will say they will improve your idling/throttle response regardless.

I bought Autolite Platinums yesterday, because I didn't have an immediate option for the other two.

If your car is pretty much stock Autolite platinums are gonna be just as good as any other plug. Anyone who tells you different is just trying to justify why they paid $13 a plug. Now if you are running high compression or F/I my response would be totally different.

Yeah I am pretty much stock except for a K&N open cone intake. I only have 40K miles on it also. Should I even bother changing plugs just yet? I was just looking for a smoother idle and throttle response. My buddy just put some NGK in his BMW and said he can notice a difference in throttle response so I thought I would check into it.
