Default boring blocks

What displacement do you end up with if you bore over to .020 or .030 and what is the maximum over bore you can have on a 4.6 2v?

also i know they make pistons up to .040 at summit racing a guy at the machine shop said that is about the max after that overheating problems

030 over is about 284 cubic inch...the stock iron block is limited to about the 30 over but some have pushed it to .040 over. You can get the aluminum block bored and resleeved which is called a big bore. This takes the bore from stock 3.552 to 3.70 or @ 302 cubic inch.

ive never heard of the big bore... that sounds kinda intresting... wish i knew more about that before i went with another 4.6... haha.

I have heard alot of people that are not happy with their modular strokers. Talk to code about it, he had the chance to get either a stroker or a stock displacment engine and look what he ended up with...
