Default Question on o2 sensor

hey everyone i bought a 2004 gt 2 months ago and about a few weeks ago my check engine light came on. i took it to ford and they said my o2 sensors are "spliced" and it happened due to aftermarket long tube headers which are installed into the car. i am loosing A LOT of miles everytime i fill up my car. and so does the word spliced means its broken? someone was telling me to get some kind of mod thing that goes on the sensor to bypass it or something... so are my sensors broke or? please help me out.

thank you...

Default RE: Question on o2 sensor

Spliced means someone didn't buy a connector to put the aftermarket onto the stock wiring harness for the o2 sensor. They either did it wrong, or a connection came loose.
