I am leaning towards an LM2 and o/r x-pipe setup... but I have a '05 convertible. Everyone RAVES about this setup but will it be too loud for casual driving in my convertible? I enjoy listening to my radio and having casual conversation.
Let me know what you think...

Depending on what headers you want will vary, cause if you get the SLP headers you almost have to get there X cause not to many other companys use the clamp down style they do, so if you wanted an H, it would be better to get some Mac LT's and there H-Pipe. But I say save up and get the SLP LT's and X, or if your on a tight budget the BBK LT's and X. I have the SLP setup and its to bad im not home right now otherwise my stuff would be on my car.
Larmo, with the X and LMII's you will still be able to hear the radio and enjoy cruising, its not as loud in the car as it is outside. I say go for it.

Thanks for the input. I test drove a new Roush Stage Convertible and it was WAAAAAY too loud for a convertible. What exhaust does Roush put on their stage one?
I really want a deep clean tone but since I have a vert I don't want it overpowering at all.

are you looking to get a full exhaust, if so most anything will be too loud. You can just get a catback and it wont be too loud. Go with just a LM II catback and it will have a great tone and not be too loud.

But at WOT, forget about it... Might as well throw the radio out and the person sitting next to you. I have LM1's with the o/r X... LM2's with the o/r X will quiet it down a little. But honestly I would look into a catted X with the LM2's... It will still be very loud, but will be clean as well, and that seems like what you might be looking for.
Very informative information for me guys... thank you for your time.
You are correct in saying that I want a CLEAN exhaust but with a deeper and slightly louder tone. I do not want to overwhelm passengers nor drown the radio. I just moved to Charlotte from Buffalo so suffice to say the top will be down a LOT. So far the only time the top has been up is at night.
So LM2 with catted o/r x-pipe might do the trick, or just lose the x-pipe altogether and just put the LM2 on the stocker midpipe?
Any other votes?
Thanks again guys...
