Sorry no Nittos at Sam's Club. The 275 40 17 takes a min 8.5 inch width on rim size. I wonder if 17X8 will be able to take that size anyway. Oh also by the way tires are 9 dollars each to install. I've been shopping for DR and this is the best price I have ran into. The only problem this far is that I need wheels to accept these tires. You have to order them by the way. I don't think Sam's club sells enough of them to stock.

It is pretty funny

Does 214 dollars sound good for a K&N cold air filter system? I found a store that sells them local.

I got mine from www.jcwhitney.com for 199, it was 220 originally, but this month's catalog has 20 percent off. Plus, I deffered the cost for 90 days, so it won't show up on my card until september. Shipping was free as well.

Nittos do not even compare to BFG for hooking or 60 foot times on the drag strip. On the street neither hook much different. BFG's dont last long, very soft, nittos a little longer, but BFG is much superior, Mustang 5.0 has a car running under 9.0 1/4 on them.

Not completely true, Nitto's are VERY close once you heat them up... ALOT

BFG's just don't really need much of a heat-up, so it gives the perception of better traction - when their really close when their both warmed up properly. I do agree that BFG's hook better, but its not night and day. I chose them because I wanted a set of tires that lasted more than 5k miles.

I don't know about that MD. I had Nitto's & I had BFG's, my BFG's were so much better it was amazing how crappy it made my old Nitto's out to be.

That is why I say it's BFG or no radials at all...lol

I can tell you that just driving around town, my traction is considerably better than stock - but still not "great". When I go the the track I drop the pressure to 16 lbs, smoke the tires good, and I dump the clutch off the line at 3k rpm and barely spin, by the time Im at the top of 1st gear it stopped spinning. Thats similar to what the BFG guys say about their tires. Now if I launch at 30psi and only do a small burnout - I annihilate first gear and some of second. The tires just dont stick unless you light em up hard.

Overall I'm happy with my Nitto's, but I will say if I didn't put many miles on my car I would get the BFG's. Are you comparing the Nittos to the BFG's cold? or hot? I havent ever used BFG's but some other guys that have has given me that impression.

I have used both...unfortunetly.

I started with a set of Nitto's. I had to roast the HELL out of them to get bite. My Firestones were almost as sticky as those tires. Even when I did get them to bite, it wasn't enough. They were pretty scary in the rain too...

I decided to give it one last shot with these so called drag radials and picked up a set of BFG's, the difference was NIGHT and day. My BFG's did not need to be heated, and they hooked so hard they were destroying my tranny mounts quicker than I could fix them. Also,I was pretty shocked at how stable and sticky they were on wet roads.

I'm telling ya, give them a try and you'll be suprised...
