Default Zex Spark Plugs

ive got an 03 gt....2 valve. I installed a zex nitrous kit. i'm only using the 75hp jets. i was reading in the manual that plugs need to be changed due to the ground strap on the plug building up to much heat and causing detination. it says that the heat of the plug really doesnt matter as long as the plug can dissapate the heat quick enough to prevent the detination. I installed some NGK TR6 plugs (colder than stock)..i was told to gap them at .38in. but the car runs like ****. idle is poor and so is trottle response. So i re-gapped the plugs to about .53in. which is closer to the factory spec. and it improved the drivabillity alot but still seems to be not quite rite. Should i go back to my factory plugs and factory gap or what should i do. i dont use the nitrous alot so it kinda kills me that it doesnt run very good for normal driving. When i use the nitrous the car runs fine. any info would be greatly appricated! thanx.
