Batter Relocation & Lowering Springs

Batter Relocation & Lowering Springs
I have asked about the pros and cons relocating my battery to the trunk, but I have a new question. I have eibach pro lowering springs on the car and I am wondering whether they will negate or minimize the effect of placing the battery in the trunk. I realize that taking weight off the nose is good and it is even better to put it over the rear to aid traction, but will the gains I expect be lost due to the fact that the lowering springs are harming my weight transfer?
Thanks

Well first of all the only way you would want to relocate your battery is for a drag car. I think all these people that relocate their batteries for an everyday street car or complete morons, it's useless. It also puts more weight in the back wich cruches your springs a smidgen to uneven your ride heigth! The more weight you add to the rear the worse your car will handle! I took everything out of my trunk like my spare tire and jack so I could build a speaker box without too much weight back there! My car handld like sh.t with a box and the spare tire and stuff back there. Big diff. when I removed it all, especially in ride heigth and ride quality. The car would slam over bumps and is now smooth ailing even lowered! Waste of money. You'll have more con's with a trunk battery than Pro's!!!

RE: Batter Relocation & Lowering Springs
im sorry but 20 lbs of battery will not "crunch" your springs. it is a good idea to relocate your battery to the back. first it cleans up your engine bay second it does take weight off the front of the car which is a HUGe benefit for mustangs and finally it keeps your battery away from the high temperatures that stay under the mustang hood which will prolong your battery's life. I think anyone who doesnt relocate the battery is a complete moron.
