Throw Out Bearing......
Looks like I joined the club!!!!!! I got a nice little belt squeak like sound and it goes away when I put little pressure on the clutch. My question is how long will it last before it craps out and what will it do WHEN it craps out (strand me on the road??). Did some looking last night and it seems the average install price for this is around 300-400 dollars. Does that sound right?????

RE: Throw Out Bearing......
A quick possible fix for the TO bearing is a firewall clutch adjuster.
Everyone calls them something different, but a quick search on google and you'll find one.
It depends on how bad the TOB is, but the adjuster could completely solve the issue.

Dealership finally got it right on the 4th try (in 8 months) replaced the TO bearing AND the Pressure plate. No problems now and my tranny shifts easier on the freeway from 4th to 5th so perhaps they addressed something else while they were in there too. Luckily I never had to pay for the last three times of replacement and got a free rental car each time since I had them do my clutch back in October. It was all warranty work.
