CUT EM OFF

RE: CUT EM OFF
I am 99 percent sure you can buy a turndown setup from one of the big muffler companys.
Its going to be ungodly loud though with anything but the stock muffler, and if you pick up 5 WHP I would be highly surprised, espcially on a mild bolton car.

Depends on where you are. It's legal in Wyoming, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Not legal in Colorado if your intent is to increase the volume of the exhaust. I never intend to increase the volume, just the efficiency and tone.

take your car to a local muffler shop and have them cut it and weld in some turn downs....shouldn't cost more then $100
Any reason you want to do this? It is illiegal...

RE: CUT EM OFF
My main intent is just to make it load for as cheap as possible and in my oppinon i dont like the way the sn95s pipes just sit under the bumper but this seems to be the cheapest if i can get away with it. I live i michigan and i have seen a few fire birds with out any visible tail pipes so i'll have to check. I also know the one kid whos running open headers on his crapy little honda and he has not had any problems with the fuzz so i will just have to look into it.
