Default Broken Valve Cover - suggestions

I have been getting a little bit of oil smoke, looked on valve cover and the lower front bolt had some oil on it, so i tightened it up a bit, and CRACK! dammit. Will it leak oil like that? Can anyone recommend decent valve covers? I dont want the plastic ones, but dont want to spend bucks on them either, 100 would be nice. How big of a pita are they to replace? I might swap my vortech pulley while i am in there as well.

Depends on what style heads you have. There is a set of I believe windsor covers on ebay right noe. They have the tons of bolt hole in them. The guy says they came off of a 02 i believe????? Plastic/fiber ones are fine, they dissapate heat pretty well. Unless you get aluminum ones which will cost you an arm and a leg. Roughly $250 for the set! Remember you only need to torque your valve covers down like 25-30 inch pounds which is not that much. If you have a 3/8 ratchet with an extension, it's snug plus 1/4 turn and that's it! If they are leaking like mine were either let them leak or replace the gaskets!!!!!
