that is what i am doing right now too, biiiig tune up. today just bought synthetic oil (for the fist time) i'll see how it works, some bocsh platinum 2's, lucas fuel system cleaner, swappin the brake fluid, and now with this thread i was trying to see what wires to buy. just thought i would tell you since we have the same car.
Good question, I could actually use knowing the same thing for my big tune up I'm doing.
Whenever going from a conventional oil (crude) to synthetic you have to actually build a tolerance in the engine oilers before you can fully run synthetic oil. Unlike synthetic, crude oil actually has to be worked out of the engine since the density is thicker.
Lamens terms Comparison :
Crude oil = cold syrup
synthetic blend= hot syrup
full synthetic = water
You would need to go from crude--> synthetic blended (after one or two oil changes) then--> full synthetic.

To be honest the best spark plugs on a Mustang are the ACDelco or the Motorcraft. They produce a cooler spark that helps your car from overheating while running. If you run Bosch Platinum 2+, 4+ or anything like that ... you are just wasting your money on a name and causing your car to produce excess heat, especially when being ran hard.
By running the Bosch Platinum 4+ on my '96 GT my idling temp was 198 while outside temp was 75. When I changed the plugs to the AC Delco plugs my idling temp was 189, therefore losing 9 degrees of heat in just a simple plug. The problem that comes from the platinum plugs that have more than 1 element is that now more electrical power is being used just to fire each plug since you just lowered the impedience.
If you are running a mildly modded stang then stick with any 8.5mm wires. If you are running a charged stang you better be running a 9mm wire set from MSD.

dude, I don't know how you are rationalizing this, but you are completely wrong the heat range of the plug has absolutely 0 bearing on how hot the car runs, I'm seriously just holding my head wondering how you came to this conclusion holy crap
