When I started the car it was fine, then going done the road the volt meter started to go to the left. Got home and batt. light was on. Revved car up and light would go out and come back on intermittently and the volt meter would swing up then back down. HELP!!!

 

mine did the same thing. replaced voltage regulator bolted to back of alternator, problem solved.

 

Where exactly is this??? Is it inside the Alt. or on the outside. I have no clue with electronics???

 

take off alternator. on the back is a square piece with 2 bolts. easy to replace. not expensive.

 

Does this sound right?
