Top Gear vid
Just wondering if any of you guys have seen the top gear video of a lancer evo 6 vs a lambo. I must say I love my mustang, but the handling of that evo in the video is nothing short of amazing.

RE: Top Gear vid
It's an EVO VIII FQ400.
They don't sell those stateside, all we get is the EVO 8,9,10 with the GS, GS-R, and MR version with 285HP(not sure what the new EVO 10's have) while the FQ400 has 400HP and tons of other changes.
Before I bought the Vette, I test drove a new EVO 9 GS-R. It's lighter than the MR and has the same power. The MR has the billet interior package, vortex roof strakes, lip on the spoiler(freakin weatherstripping...), lighter wheels, and slightly upgraded suspension. I test drove the GS-R and got it up to speed a couple times, it wasn't too bad. The lag was definitely noticeable, anything under 3k was rather pathetic. I thought the car was pretty good, until I took an onramp at full speed. Let me tell you, that car is freakin amazing. The car handles like a go-kart, I swear the car knows your going to turn before you even attempt to. It hugs the road so well, that my confidence in my own driving ability is what held me back. I can't imagine what the cars limits are, the thing is INSANE. Forget drag racing and forget street racing. This monster belongs on a track where it's real potential lies.
I still have yet to see what the Vette can do around decent turns, but even now I'm not sure if it can compare to that EVO I tossed all over the road. Anyone who can't appreciate that car just doesn't understand what it was made to do. Period.

I saw that video. It can catch up with the lambo, but not pass it.
I also love the end...how they put it in 6th gear against a station wagon and it doesn't have enough road to catch up.
LOL. That cracked me up.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was talking about with the lag. It is BAD. At least it was in the EVO 9, I can't imagine how bad it would be with an even larger single turbo on the FQ400.
And they never even attempted to pass the Lamborghini Marciellago, just wanted to prove that the MUCH cheaper 4cyl, 4dr saloon could keep up with it fairly easily. And it did, in the end the Lambo spun out while the FQ400 maintained control.
