ok it just started today. i got in a race with a bmw m3 and it was fun untill i grabed 2nd and the clutch was all the way down and it ground like i riped it out of 1st and threw it in 2nd with out the clutch. i was like wtf happend went to 3rd and no problem. then later in the day i got on it hard and same thing happend with 2nd. i have the tremic 3650 trans and no short throw as of now. mgw is on its way. anyone kow what it could be? do i have to adjust the clutch already. it only has 12k miles on it

well it could possbly just be the synchros that's causing it to grind.... but then again how hard have you been driving it? My friends rubicon has been driven kind of rough and it doesn't even catch 4th anymore.... also check your tranny fluid... for only 12k miles, I'd just get it checked out before you put on the short throw becuase you are still under warranty...correct?

yeah its prob the synchros- likely you 'bent' them. if you have warranty ford will fix them, there is also a tsb on them. if they cant fix them- theyll replace the whole tranny. i got a brand new one.

Yup that is what chrysler is doing on my friend's rubi.... but they screwed it up...twice... so he has to go back again!!!! But i think ford'll do alot better than those guys over at daimler-chrysler!!!

well they might, or might not... although exhaust mods cannot harm your tranny... they can say "Oh you have longtubes....which means you race it" It wouldn't hurt to ask.... and see if anyone else with perf. mods went to the dealership... some are lax about having boltons.

im not concerd about that part. they will tell me no we cant touch it be cause of the long tubes. we have to pull the long tubes off the car so we can get to the tranny.
