Iridium plugs
I am almost at 50k miles on my Mach 1 and want to change my plugs. Does anyone recommend iridium plugs? I hear good things about them but are they worth the extra 5 bucks per plug?
Thanks,

RE: Iridium plugs
I installed them last week and the car starts and idles much better now. Not sure if they were worth the money, though. I probably could have gotten improved performance from new stock plugs and saved myself $30.

RE: Iridium plugs
The only god thing about Platinum and Irridium plugs is that they last longer than a regular copper plug. I will not run them in my cars due to the electrode tending to get hotter and cause detnation. This is not a big deal on a lower compression N/A engine but add high compression, N2O, or forced induction and it's a problem. To me they are just not worth the money. I like to run NGK TR6 or TR55's in my cars.
