Default GT tranny --> Seleen Tranny?

Sadly, my friend's Dad was test driving his '99 GT down the street after repairing what seemed like endless damage (the whole front end crumbled after this really smart guy thought it would be fun to run 60mph on a 35mph zone and as my friend slowly exited his driveway... !!BAM!!) and something not-so-fantastic happened. About a block down the road, the tranny oil cooler line ruptured and drained the tranny dry and, well, the rest is obvious. Here comes the good news, though, and my question:

We just got a '99 Mustang Seleen tranny for a good price. My question, though, is will this tranny work. I understand that this tranny will bolt up just fine and fit snug, my only worry is the ECU & the shifting. The '99 GT my friend has was a 4 speed Auto -- the tranny we just bought is a '99 Seleen 5 speed Auto; will this work as a plug and play or are we going to need a whole mess of things? Anybody know? Thank you much in advance.

Sorry, *Saleen* 5 speed auto tranny. And yup, it is definitely a 5 speed auto off a Mustang Saleen. Apperantly '99 was the only other year auto Saleens where produced prior to '05.

even if auto Saleens were produced in 99 i'm 99% sure they weren't 5 speed autos...but there is always that chance we all missed something really obvious...what is the model number for the transmission?
